Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Structural Design Engineer to join a leading Engineering Consultancy, on a permanent basis in Leeds.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the creation of buildings and be responsible for a variety of technical tasks for Commercial, Retail, Industrial and Scientific projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Structural Engineering assessments and inspections of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry and timber
- Design and specify all aspects of Structural works
- Produce design deliverables, including drawings, reports and site surveys
- Liaise with clients and members of the design team to ensure progress against the project brief
- Act as a technical lead on projects when required
- Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion
- Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities
- Undertake analysis and design using hand calculations and software packages such as, Tekkla, TEDDS and Robot etc
- Offer support and guidance to junior members of the team
- Effectively manage own time, especially if allocated to more than one project
Key Requirements:
- Extensive UK experience working as a Structural Design Engineer
- A degree in Structural Engineering is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to win work for the Consultancy
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards
- Experience using structural analysis design software packages, including Tekkla and TEDDS is required
- A positive and reliable work ethic
- Use of Eurocodes and British Standards is essential
- Strong report writing and numerical skills
- Experience in all the common forms of construction, material and building types
- The ability to act on your own initiative
- Previous experience working on large projects
- Full clean driving license
