My client in Penrith is looking for a Structural Engineer due to expansion.
The ideal candidate would preferably be chartered, but with a strong design consultancy background where they have gained experience over a range of different project types utilising all common structural materials. Candidates must have a sound working knowledge of all relevant British Standards, Codes of Practice and CDM regulations. A full driving licence is essential.
Key elements of the civil engineering post would cover:
- Preparation of concept designs
- Development and preparation of detail design
- Liaise with Architects, M&E consultants and other design team members
- Liaise with clients
- Attendance of design and site meetings
- Supervising technician/graduate engineers
- Preparation of quotations
- Managing project expenditure
- Controlling workload
