About the Team
The Infrastructure Schemes team within the Network and Asset Management Group comprises of 17 staff. We are responsible for managing the infrastructure assets in Surrey. The assets include Structures, Embankments, Drainage and Safety Fence.
The Infrastructure Schemes Team works in collaboration with its private sector delivery partners. We design commission and delivery an annual programme of work.
The team is very technical and works on a wide range of projects from routine maintenance of structures to highly complex maintenance or replacement of the Asset. Maintenance of our Structures forms part of the team's role with responsibility for the inspection and maintenance of 1,500 structures as well as involvement with structures owned by other organisations such as Network Rail and Highways England.
About the Role
You have overall responsibility for a team of engineers carrying out the design and supervision of infrastructure schemes, including the management and reporting of finances and budgets. You will provide effective leadership, direction, project and contract management.
You will implement robust management and reporting processes that enable the efficient delivery of maintenance strategies and works programmes, manage change control and proactively address any associated performance issues in order to ensure successful delivery of service objectives.

- Experience of working within Highways and Structures Inspection Teams
- An ability to work independently and be a good performing team player
- Flexibility to work as the job demands and adaptable to work under pressure
- Experience with Financial and Budget Control
- Experience with control and supervision of site works, designers and consultant engineers
