The Department of Aeronautics is looking for a customer-focussed professional to support Student Administration processes across its courses. This role offers the perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a career in higher education with a particular interest in delivering the best service and experience possible to students.
Duties and responsibilities
As Student Administration Assistant, you will support the Department’s teams with all functions relating to the student lifecycle from admission through to graduation. In particular, you will develop skills and knowledge in the data systems used within the Department including a virtual learning environment, sharepoint, access database systems and the website. You will have the opportunity to support students directly as well as through processes around committees, admissions, examinations and student-facing events such as open days.
Essential requirements
- Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent qualification or experience)
- Experience of providing a customer-focussed service
- Experience of electronic data management
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills
- Accurate data entry and data management skills
