Join a leading higher education institution in the Sussex area in their Directorate for the Student Experience division due to the growth of the team a new role has arisen. We are seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Student Casework Officer/Manager (Complaints and Conduct).
As a Student Casework Officer/Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing casework related to student complaints, discipline, and liaison with external bodies.
Your responsibilities as a Student CaseworkOfficer/Manager, will include:
- Manage all aspects of Student Casework, ensuring compliance with university procedures and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues handling complex and sensitive cases.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of revised processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support and mentor a team of Student Casework Officers, ensuring the timely delivery of outcomes.
- Act as a senior point of contact for students, staff, and external parties involved in casework.
To be a successful in the role you will require:
- Experience working with regulations and procedures related to Complaints and disciplinary processes in higher education
- Have an strong understanding of OIA cases
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
