Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, term time only
Actual Starting Salary (calculated pro rata): £20,551 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

The Hastings Academy is looking to appoint a full time Student Wellbeing and Pastoral Officerto join our friendly and proactive pastoral team.
Within this highly rewarding role, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support, care and guidance; ensuring that students emotional and wellbeing needs are met
- Ensuring students attend lessons
- Assisting students that need to be removed for behavioural or emotional reasons
- Working proactively and liaising with parents and staff in supporting students learning and progress
To be successful within this role, you will:
- Be firmly committed to improving standards of learning and achievement and improving life chances for all students
- Have excellent communication and listening skills
- Be a confident, calm and caring team member
- Be an excellent role model; offering support and guidance to ensure students are fully engaged
- Have a good understanding of the learning and support needs of young people, gained in a working school setting in a learning support capacity
