Chris Levine is a world-renowned contemporary artist with an expansive and experimental practice. Using light as his message and language, his status as one of the world's leading light artists has led to several high-profile cross media collaborations and his subsequent portraits of Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Moss, the Dalai Lama and Grace Jones to name a few. Working across a variety of mediums including photography, sculpture and silkscreen printing, Chris Levine Studio is looking for a Creative Assistant to assist in the development of new work and on-going projects at the studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capturing content and developing work
- Graphic design and image making
- Moving image and videography
- Liaising with Chris Levine regularly to develop work
- Working with the studio team to produce proposals for projects
- Working with the studio team to prepare content for exhibitions
- Work closely with the Studio Director to ensure artworks are delivered on time and deadlines are met
- Must be able to travel to Chris Levine’s studio one day per week outside of London (approx 2 hours travel time)
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of image making & graphic design
- Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills
- Problem solving skills, the ability to think creatively and show initiative
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with artists and technicians
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop
- Strong understanding of moving image, content creation and editing
- Experience of working directly with an artist is desirable but not required
- Friendly and approachable attitude
