Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with our client by recruiting a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer based in Carrickfergus. Our client has expanded steadily to include multiple manufacturing facilities across Japan, China, USA, Mexico, Thailand, and Europe. They are a world-class supplier of high-quality, technically complex automotive components.

As the Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer you will:

• Actively manage and support supply base cross-functional team actions during supplier selection, NPI, and design Change Management to ensure the timely achievement of APQP, PPAP and Run at Rate deliverables and milestones in line with the Start of Production date
• Manage, monitor, and achieve the timely close out of supplier APQP, PPAP, CAPA, and Kaizen deliverables
• Coach and train supplier key personnel on 8D problem-solving and kaizen quality improvements, tools and techniques
• Manage weekly supplier quality 8D reviews to ensure correct root cause identification

You will have:

• Third-level qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline (Candidates with a lesser qualification, significant relevant experience, and a demonstrated commitment to personal development will also be considered)
• Min. 3 years’ experience within a quality engineering environment
• Experienced in Structured problem-solving techniques such as 8D, A3, 4C and tools such as Ishikawa, 5-Why, Pareto, Charts & Graphs
