The role
As a Supply Chain Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have an opportunity to be a part of the operational procurement team where you will help support the delivery of critical packages to our customer the Royal Navy.
Day to day, you will support the sourcing of goods and services, expediting orders, coordinating project requirements and developing key relationships with our internal and external stakeholders.
- Contacting suppliers and placing purchase orders within an agreed limit of spend
- Managing supplier order books
- Supporting programme improvement plans
- Coordination with operational procurement team to ensure project requirements are executed on time
This role is full time, 36 hours based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Administrator:
- IT literate and experience of working with Microsoft packages, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Must be self-motivated and willing to develop new skills
- Experience of working within a Supply Chain function - Desirable
Qualifications for the Supply Chain Administrator:
- Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration
- GCSE in Mathematics and English Language at Grade "C" / 5 or higher
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
