Supply Chain Analyst | Oxfordshire Hybrid | up to £40k
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and highly motivated individual to join their Supply Chain Operations team as a Supply Chain Analyst. This is a hybrid remote/multi-office role and an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The role covers many different aspects of Supply Chain and will give you an opportunity to interact with all areas of the business.The Role:You will work within the Consumables product sector and have a collaborative approach working closely across multiple business functions and with many key stakeholders. This integral role will be focused on the entire Supply Chain from raw materials through to finished goods. You will need to ensure that production has the required flow of materials through effective purchasing, and provide an efficient production schedule, to ensure the right products are made to the right quantity, at the right time, to fulfil our customers sales orders on time in full.
- Ensure the raw/component material inventory buffer stocks are maintained and controlled within the agreed ranges.
- Manage the supply of raw materials by raising Purchase Requisitions/Orders and drive lead times and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve on time in full deliveries.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate this into a clear and accurate plan for suppliers and production to deliver against.
- Deliver weekly status reports for key meetings ensuring that risks and/or concerns which may impact achieving our customers or business needs are highlighted effectively.
- Provide demand forecasts to Procurement/suppliers to ensure material coverage is in place to support future demand.
- Record and report on the status of suppliers’ performance against key performance indicators.
- Create, manage, and close Works (Production) Orders
- Assist internal and external stakeholders to resolve any quality alerts.
- Proactively manage inventory by reducing the risks of aged/obsolete stock
- Reconcile non-matching supplier invoices.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience of working in materials planning, procurement and/or production planning role which includes direct supplier interaction and management.
- Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mentality with a flexible approach to changing daily priorities and working under pressure to very tight deadlines.
- Highly organised with strong numerical and analytical skills whilst displaying accuracy and attention to detail.
- Quickly identify problems and recommend solutions with sound decision-making skills.
- Working knowledge of Bill of Materials, material requirements planning, item and costing setups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to communicate with collaborators at all levels within the business.
- Drive to 'make things happen’, push for process improvements, enable solutions, and use best practices in the process.
- Commercial awareness with a clear understanding of the need to deliver the plan to achieve the company objectives.
- Willing to work hard from day one in a dynamic, fast-paced, constantly evolving company.
