Supply Chain Co-ordinator – Fareham
As a Supply Chain Co-ordinator for a hire company, your primary responsibility will be to build relationships with your respective Supply Chain. It will be your responsibility to regionalise and condense your preferred Supply Chain to ensure national coverage with suppliers we can trust.
Each Supply Chain coordinator will have a specialism and it will be important to build knowledge on that area of the industry. Secondly, it’s important that you are proactive in investigating revenue streams within the Supply Chain to understand the suppliers that are currently utilised in different regions and how much is spent with them. It will be the role of the Supply Chain co-ordinator to ensure that a regional system is implemented for their speciality and for the operations team to follow this system, forming strategic spend and relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Gain competence with Power BI and Excel to investigate and make strategic decisions on direction of supplier spend.
• Use reports to understand GP and to see where our current spend is and present findings.
• Onboarding new suppliers that could strengthen our Supply Chain.
• Setting up meetings (face to face/ teams/ Telephone) to build relationships and to discuss multiple factors:
o Service issues
o Rate negotiation
o Invoice disputes
o New product lines
• To investigate areas or locations in the Supply Chain where we are weak and to be able to proactively fix.
• Help assist the Supply Chain manager in presenting the Supply Chain specialism to the operations team, streamlining their work, and focussing their spend.
• Confirming and setup up SLAs with our preferred Supply Chain.
• Monitoring our preferred Supply Chain to ensure spend is going towards them in their selective regions and addressing it with the teams if spend drops.
• Addressing service actions within the Supply Chain.
• General maintenance on the system of the suppliers and requesting all updated policies and insurances so that we are compliant with our ISO Standards.
Requirements:
• Experience in a Supply Chain Analysis/Co-ordinator, Hire Desk or Purchasing Role (desirable)
• Knowledge of the Waste Industry (desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work well under pressure.
• Have a good understanding of the hire industry.
• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00am – 17:00pm
