Talon are known for delivery of product and service, and the heartbeat of this is the Operations side of the business. We are now recruiting a number of roles to both maintain and build upon this strong foundation and ensure continued success.
The role
We are currently hiring for a Supply Chain Manager, reporting to the Operations Director. This is a cross functional leadership role across procurement, planning and production scheduling to ensure customer demand is met. Ultimately, this role ensures that on time delivery is achieved, whilst minimising costs and maximising overall operational efficiency.

What you ll be doing
Production planning develop and maintain production and packing schedules, whilst optimising machine and labour resources. Cross functional communication to understand demand forecasts and capacity
Inventory Management inventory control to manage raw material levels, optimise stock levels, minimise waste and ensure good availability of materials
Scheduling create and manage production schedules, responding to challenges to ensure minimal disruption to OTIF timelines
Communication ensure strong flow of information cross functionally to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
Continuous Improvement identify opportunities to improve the process in both production planning and production workflows
Capacity Planning analysing data and KPIs to identify improvement areas, working closely with the wider operations team to assess machine and labour capacity
Documentation maintain accurate documentation related to production schedules, inventory levels and production performance
What we are looking for?

  • Proven experience in production planning, preferably in a high volume manufacturing environment
  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management or a related field or time served experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using production planning software and ERP systems
  • A strong communicator able to collaborate cross functionally
  • Good attention to detail and personal organisation skills
  • Problem solving, can do mindset
