Supply Chain Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on exp
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30 - 16.30 and Friday: 08.00 - 13.00
Our client has been operating since 1971 and is a specialist manufacturer offering bespoke solutions.
Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager that is responsible for supplying all component parts to the Assembly teams, through machine shop, suppliers and subcontractors. Parts to be delivered on time, to the correct quality and at a cost-effective price.
Supply Chain Management
- Set up Supplier agreements.
- Manage and assist Buyer with negotiating Supplier / Subcontractor prices and deliveries.
- Support suppliers in meeting company needs.
- Take proactive action to ensure on time on quality delivery.
- Manage supplier performance and through KPIs.
Supply and Purchase Management
- Plan deliver of parts that manages stock levels and gives a cost-effective price.
- Generate works orders from sales order demand and stock replenishment requirements.
- Expedite component parts and assemblies to ensure on time delivery is met.
- Problem solves issues as and when they occur, escalate to appropriate department or line manager to find a solution.
- Inform Sales of any component part delays that will impact on the Sales delivery date.
Stock and Resource Management
- Assist the Production Manager in the supply of raw material to the additional site.
- Liaise with sales team to ensure output is maximised but kept within an achievable plan.
- Load and capacity plan Machine Shop working closely with the Production team to maintain manufacturing schedule.
- Manage stock records and Supply Chain inventory.
- Manage stock and cash flow through business forecasting and historical demand.
People Management
- Proactively lead the team and individuals.
- Manage Finish Parts Stores and Good Inwards teams.
- Manage individual's performance.
- Develop, train and manage the team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

- In-depth understanding of risk management within the Supply Chain of the company.
- Have a thorough understanding of Health and safety requirements within the workplace.
- Demonstrable experience of continuous improvement.
