Supply Chain Operations & Logistics Professional (Manager / Coordinator)
Exciting Opportunity Dealing with Complex Supply Chain & Logistical issues at the Manager or Coordinator level
Location: Woking, Surrey
Salary: £35k – £70k Basic + Bonus + Benefits (Salary Based on Experience)
About the Role:
Our client is one of the world’s major suppliers of transportation fuel in its specialist sector. Their customers range from major international blue-chip organisations to smaller independents. Their wealth of expertise enables them to provide a unique range of technical and marketing consultancy services to their fast-growing client base, for which they have won many prestigious industry awards over the years.
The Supply Chain plays a key role to their success and they now have a vacancy for an exceptional individual to join their Supply Chain& Logistics team. You will take responsibility for coordinating the movement of transportation fuel from import terminal to ultimately the customer, ensuring that sufficient fuel is available to meet their contractual requirements. As such you will plan, prepare and nominate product requirements, organise vessel vetting, nomination and product delivery, and conduct regular inventory monitoring to ensure appropriate stock management. As well as internal contacts, you will liaise externally with suppliers, customers, Government Organizations, Inspectors, Port Authorities, and many others.
About You:
Graduate calibre, you will have some post-grad experience in a relevant sector. This may be directly related, such as oil & gas, but we will also consider a variety of relevant experiences and sectors such as the transportation &/or storage of other physical items such as commodities or an operational role in a related sector such as, but not limited to, those listed below. You will be well-organised with the ability to get things done both though your self-drive and via your proven teamwork skills.Flexibility and good interpersonal & communication skills are all essential traits to succeed. Oil experience is not essential. The wide salary band reflects the various levels of experience we will consider, from Manager level at the upper end to a recent graduate with some experience at the Coordinator level.
