Job Description Summary
JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Manager (12-month secondment/FTC)
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Bristol
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sourcing Risk & Policy Team, which is responsible for ensuring that Group Sourcing & Supplier Management (GS&SM) designs, operates and maintains a robust policy and control environment in line with the bank's risk appetite for supplier onboarding and Supply Chain management.
GS&SM are responsible for designing and maintaining a robust framework for the onboarding and management of Supplier services to the Group; you can be a key part of that through involvement with a wide range of activities.

About this Opportunity
The successful candidate will join the ‘Supply Chain Resilience (SCR)’ sub team, whose purpose is to maintain, update, embed & report on a market leading, regulatory compliant framework to assess the resilience of our Supply Chains and limit service disruptions to our customers.
We do this by:
  • Assessing the resilience of all third parties who have been mapped as critical to the delivery of our Important Business Services and Critical Business Processes, in accordance with the PRA and FCA Operational Resilience Regulations.
  • Maintaining and assuring the quality of source data.
  • Generating and socialising critical MI to all stakeholders, including the LBG Board.
  • Evolving our Supply Chain Resilience operating model, to reflect the changing regulatory landscape.

As part of the Risk & Policy team, you will...
Specifically for this role the successful candidate will support delivery and embedding of the SCR strategy, including:
  • Systemizing our Supply Chain Asset Mapping process, with supporting workflow design.
  • Operating and evolving our SCR reporting capability.
  • Supporting delivery of our remaining regulatory objectives related to Supply Chain Resilience.
  • Garnering intelligence, strategic thinking, and stewardship from peer organisations, via effective industry engagement.

In order to deliver the above, you will..
  • Work with industry tools including RCSA (IBM OpenPages), SAP Ariba, Service Now and Power BI to support senior partners in the identification of resilience risks and trends through the end-to-end Sourcing and Supply Chain Management process, and third-party risk management data.
  • Coordinate, report, and interpret Management Information including Key Risk Indicators & trend identification.
  • Support the management and oversight of Supply Chain Resilience data within source systems.
  • Understand and utilise Sourcing & Supply Chain Management risk foundation elements, including Policy, Procedures, Risks, Controls, Indicators and Assurance, to empower our key partners to understand and apply them accordingly.
  • Support the application of the Group’s Operational Resilience Framework, aligned to Supply Chain risk principles.
  • Embed Operational Resilience methodologies throughout our end-to-end framework.

What you'll need
  • Evidence of an understanding of operational risk management frameworks, associated tools, and methodologies.
  • Good attention to detail to ensure that we always produce high quality materials and information.
  • Able to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation, with strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities, enabling the team to operate in a professional and efficient manner.
  • You are a discreet and trusted advisor, with confidence in your own ability and judgement.
  • Confident to work independently with key partners at all levels of seniority.
  • Able to assimilate facts and weigh against underlying risk frameworks to propose recommendations to business partners.
  • A naturally inquisitive disposition and willingness to challenge the way we work and to suggest improvements to processes, with a view of ‘Keeping it Simple.’
  • Actively seeking opportunities to use initiative to identify and drive improvements within the Team.

And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Understanding of Operational Resilience, Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain Management concepts and processes.
  • Previous experience of working for a life assurer or within financial services would be preferred.
  • Awareness of LBG's governance structure and ability to navigate this to ensure compliance with Group policy and procedure.
