The SEND consultant here at Reed is actively looking to recruit students who are interested in picking up a minimum of 2 shifts a week within local SEN schools.
The suitable applicants will ideally have:
- 2 days a week availability to work
- The willingness to succeed, working in a school setting.
- An interest in supporting SEND children
- Experience in assisting people with SEND (this can be upaid)
- A valid enhanced DBS (we can obtain you one if required)
- Versatility/open-mindfulness - as no two days are the same!
Your role will include:
- Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups within classroom settings and/or the community
- Learning about the individual child's developmental, cognitive, social, individual differences and performing correct methods to assist.
- Providing care and enabling access to learning for all pupils
- Carrying out pupil's support programmes
- Managing the children and the classroom
