AKTON Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Support Assistant in the Southwark area. DBS required.
To work as a Support Assistant based at the Southwark Resource Centre as part of a personal development programme for young people aged 19-25.
To support young people with a learning disability, autism, sensory needs, and/ or physical disabilities to engage in an award programme that seeks to maximise independence.
To provide person-centred support for young people to learn new skills, enable positive risk taking, form relationships with peers, build resilience and take steps towards employment.
To work within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework to support young people to achieve good outcomes.
This role is part-time (Monday to Thursday), term time only.
