About The Role
As part of a team, you will support the daily operation of our Positive Support Pathway and support young people aged 16 to 24, living in Darlington who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will achieve this by supporting young people to maintain their tenancy and develop their independent living skills to enable them to live independently in the Community.
You will be responsible for managing a case load of young people, supporting them in a range of areas, including:
- Finding suitable accommodation
- Understanding their tenancy rights and responsibilities
- Development of practical skills
- Maximising their income & Money Management
- Improving their management of both their mental and physical wellbeing
- Home Safety
- Accesses employment/training education
We are looking for a candidate who is able to:
- Communicate effectively
- Build rapport with young people easily
- Identify a young persons needs and risks
- Have a multi-agency approach to working with a young person
