We are currently recruiting for a Support Engineer to fill an exciting Role with our Client.
Please note: This role will require you to be on-site 5 days per week- you must also complete DV Security clearance prior to the role commencing.
In this role you will:
Provide Application Support services on a range of systems which typically involves:
Service request fulfilment
· Incident/Problem/Configuration/Change Management
· Application Monitoring and Tuning
· System Administration and Application Upgrades
· Patching
· Software and infrastructure enhancements
Provide Technical Support on projects at various stages in the systems development lifecycle ranging from assisting in the design of the solution through to implementation
Provide Implementation engineer services either directly and/or by supporting 3rd parties in installing and configuring applications. Engineering services include:
· Build Assurance activities
· Operational Acceptance Testing
· Monitoring and Tuning
· Architecture/Solution Design
· Troubleshooting/Resolving implementation issues
· Producing and maintaining any associated documentation
Essential Skills:
- Technical/IT support background
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to convey technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience
- RHEL and MS Windows Server Operation
- MS IIS and Apache Tomcat web servers
- SQL, Bash/Shell, MS Powershell/DOS scripting
- MS SQL and Oracle databases
- MS Excel and Access developed solutions
- Applications developer in .NET and Java
- Networking and security e.g. DNS/TCP-IP/NFS/SAMBA/Web Protocols/SSL/TLS/Certificates
- Web and multi-tiered architectures
- Must be a strong communicator with Customer Service skills
