The Role
You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who support five individuals with learning and physical disabilities to live in their own shared home. You'll provide invaluable support with all aspects of their daily living, including cooking, cleaning, finances, medication and personal care. We'll also need you to be enthusiastic and creative supporting with their hobbies and interests too, these include arts & crafts, walking and going to various social events and activities. The people we support enjoy going swimming so we will need you to feel confident in the pool.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too! However, for this opportunity we will need you to have a driving license and access to your own vehicle due to the rural location of our service.
What we will need you to bring: -;
A caring and compassionate attitude
The ability to work well in a team
Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
Confidence in the use of computers
The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
A full driving license and access to your own vehicle
Shift Patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best support possible shift patterns usually fall into patterns of 0730-1600, 1200-2000, 1545-2130 and 1000-1000 hours and will include weekend and public holiday working on a rotational basis. The 1000-1000 hours shift would include a sleepover.
The sleepover part of our sleepover shifts are not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £87 for every sleepover worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
