Experimental Toxicology:
Our Team provides essential advice to various stakeholders, including government bodies, local authorities and the public. Our research focus is on is assessing potential health risks from environmental hazards whether they’re chemicals, airborne particles or bioaerosols. Our cutting-edge multidisciplinary research and expertise supports chemical regulation and policy development to safeguard public health.
Analytical Toxicology:
Our Team dives into experimental activities using mass spectrometry techniques to uncover exposures to chemicals, toxicants, nanoparticles, bioaerosols or toxic elements. We embark on metabolomic studies to decode the intricate effects of environmental exposures on human health. We play a pivotal role in chemical incidents and emergencies, providing analytical and bioinformatics support when it matters most.

*Please be aware that this role can only be worked from within the UK and not overseas. Relocation expenses are not available.*
Working Pattern - Full Time
Responsibilities section:
The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:
- Support research projects run by the Toxicology department. One post will focus on sample processing and chemical analysis. The other on aerosol production and measurement.
- Undertake technical and administrative work including managing laboratory supplies and equipment
- Support health and safety by maintaining risk assessment documentation
- Utilize advanced IT software for data analysis and record keeping
