Do you have excellent attention to detail and time to spare? If so, becoming a Greater Manchester Police Fraud Volunteer may be the perfect opportunity for you!
By offering your time and energy in this role you can help us address policing issues, enhance service delivery and strengthen links between policing and the community.
Volunteers in this role would be volunteering in the Trafford and Stockport community.
This volunteer role is for you if you have an interest in fraud and cybercrime and would like help contribute to realising Greater Manchester Police's vision to ensure that Greater Manchester is a county that is safe and feels safe.
As a Volunteer you will have the opportunity to:
• Join a small and close knit team who work alongside police officers and staff
• Gain an understanding of fraud and cybercrime in terms of criminal law and the many types of fraud that exist
• Build relationships within Greater Manchester Police and see how other departments work and where your own contribution fits within the organisation.
• Learn new transferable skills and gain valuable work experience
• Contribute to contact victims of Fraud and providing them with prevention and protection advise.
• Contribute to community events and spreading the awareness of scams to the Greater Manchester community.
Key Responsibilities
The main responsibility of a Fraud Volunteer will be to support our fraud protect officers in delivering events within the community of Stockport and Trafford where we will provide members of the public with fraud and cyber advice.
Once trained deliver presentations to small groups within the Stockport and Trafford area to raise education on fraud and cyber crime.
Skills & Experience
As a Fraud Volunteer you will need to have great attention to detail and administration skills. You will also need to have good communication skills and be able to work well within a small team.
