SUPPORT WORKER
South Hub, Netherton

£22,639 - £25,304 per annum
Sefton’s leading care provider, New Directions, is now recruiting for a Support Worker in South Hub, Netherton. We currently employ around 350 staff across the business who pride themselves on delivering high quality social care and support to vulnerable groups within the Sefton area.
Our South Hub is a day service for adults who have additional support needs due to learning and/or physical disabilities or are on the autism spectrum. Situated at the heart of Netherton, on Dunnings Bridge Road, it is proud of its extensive grounds with an attractive garden and growing area.
We aim to provide a caring and friendly environment and enable the people who attend our service to keep physically active and stimulated by social interaction and activities centred around individual interests and aspirations
The successful candidate will participate in the day-to-day delivery of a range of services for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism or associated mental health conditions; working with service users in a person centred way to promote greater choice, skill development, independence and inclusion. The post holder will work in a variety of community-based settings, including day service activities.
There is a requirement to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in accordance with a planned rota.
Experience of working with vulnerable people in residential based settings is essential. A Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is also essential.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
