Greenwich Living Options - Support Worker opportunities

We are seeking to fill a number of roles to help us deliver ournew vision for Health and Adults Services (HAS), in our in-house provisions for adults with Learning disabilities and Autism.

You will receive a comprehensive induction into the requirements of the role and care staff will be expected to complete the 15 Care Certificate standards within 13 weeks as part of their probationary period.

Support Workers- x5 ,full time posts, 35hrs per week

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can be effective in supporting and understanding the needs of residents with a learning disability and Autism, with all aspects of their care.

You will work with residents using a strength-based approach to ensure the recreational, spiritual, social and emotional aspirations of residents, are a focus of their care and recognise potential opportunities for building their resilience and independence. It is important therefore that you have good observational, listening, planning, communication and recording skills, and thrive in working within a team environment.

You will work with residents to ensure they are achieving their full potential within a framework of choice, inclusion and independence.

As a Support Worker you will be required to enable residents to express their rights, choices and aspirations whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Royal Greenwich Council and Greenwich Living Options policies, procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.
