Warehouse Assistant - (Not-Another-Bill / Bespoke-ly)
About us:
Our focus is to create truly unique gifting experiences for our customers and clients. We work with a range of companies from small boutiques to brands such as Twitter, Spotify, Google, Netflix and Instagram. There is huge demand for interesting and engaging gifts and we see ourselves very much at the forefront of this. We are a dynamic, creative team who have achieved significant growth in recent years. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and organised to be part of our exciting story.
The role;
The role is a combination of practical and organisational tasks based in both our studio and warehouse space. There will be a mixture of stock management tasks, including unboxing new stock, helping to organise the storage space, and assisting the flow and management of goods in and out of the warehouse.
You’ll be assisting the warehouse team with the overall running of the fulfilment space; from logging and categorising deliveries, to physically managing stock as well as building a rapport with delivery drivers and couriers. You will be a natural multitasker with a strong and determined work ethic.
Key responsibilities
- Accepting deliveries, loading and unloading the deliveries, and generally assisting couriers to access the warehouse.
- Helping the team to move stock, and keep the loading bay clear and tidy in order to simplify and streamline the delivery process.
- Being hands-on and getting stuck in as part of a dynamic team, ready to demonstrate a range of practical skills from unpacking boxes and building pallets to physically distributing stock.
- Competent and happy to get stuck into all tasks, prepared to spend the majority of the day on your feet, carrying heavy boxes and staying motivated.
- Helping across logistics and shipping, being aware of all arriving deliveries and scheduled collections.
- You will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the warehouse and coordinating practical stock management tasks, whilst reporting directly to the fulfilment and warehouse managers.
- Being instrumental in helping to keep the workspace, loading bay and outdoor area in optimum condition to aid the running of all day-to-day tasks in order to keep projects running smoothly and on time.
- This is a task-focused role that requires strong practical and physical skills with an emphasis on efficiency and time management. The role demands a knack for remaining cool-headed under pressure, thriving within a team and owning independent tasks and learning. As well as remaining conscientious, proactive and motivated.
- We require a professional and can-do attitude from a helpful and friendly individual with a particular emphasis on methodical and pragmatic thinking.
Main Skills
- Impeccable work ethic.
- ForkLift experience.
- Efficient and proactive.
- Exemplary multitasking skills.
- Neat & Tidy.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Strong communicative capabilities.
- Highly organised, focused & practical.
- Hands-on & can do attitude.
- Excel under pressure and take initiative.
- Scrupulous attention to time-management.
About you:
You’ll be great at working within a diverse team and well-accustomed to the general day-to-day running of a busy warehouse. An energetic and positive individual with a real passion for mastering tasks and keeping neat and tidy. Interested in the complex running of a growing commercial business. Experience having previously worked within a warehouse, packaging or distribution centre. You will be proactive and happy to get stuck-in, able to manage the combination of all inbound and outbound parcels as well as being able to work closely and build a rapport with our delivery drivers. It would be great to demonstrate examples of working within a team and demonstrate how you are able to thrive in an intensely busy environment.
This is a great opportunity to develop within an ever-growing, diverse and dynamic team.
