Location: Jerome House, Walsall and Saxon Court, Bloxwich.
Rate Of Pay: £11.44 per hour
Shift Patterns: Full Time, 36 hours per week, Nights or Days available.
Information about the Role:
Working as a Support Worker at InMind Communityyour duties will include the following:
- Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
- Providing emotional support for an individual and at times their families.
- Maintain the hygiene, dignity, health and safety of service users at all times.
- Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Teaching life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
- Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.
- Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the care standards and care service provision.
- If applicable, assist in the administration of medication.
Information about the Service:
We provide and implement bespoke packages of care and support to promote the independence, inclusion and wellbeing of people with identified support needs who live in the community. This service is intended for males and females from age 18+.
We do this by placing the people we support and their families at the centre of all matters relating to their support and wellbeing.
We work closely with our full disciplinary team and partner agencies to deliver innovative and high-quality services that meet the individual’s needs and aspirations in a person-centred manner.
Taking this approach allows us to identify a particular specialist care need. We will ensure that our Support Workers are provided with the necessary training to deliver the required care prior to service commencement. Where appropriate, we may request the input of the wider team into such training.

Experience and qualifications to work as a Support Worker:
- Experience of working as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Domiciliary Carer or Senior (minimum 1 year)
- Experience of working with service users with Mental health conditions and challenging behaviours
- NVQ Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent experience
- Caring, kind and considerate.
- Passionate about making a difference in someone else’s life.
- Good communication skills.
- Able handle sometimes challenging situations.
- Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people.
