About the Department
1

By 2030, Warwick will be one of the world’s exceptional universities, helping to transform our region, country and world for the collective good. We do so by focusing on supporting our talented staff and students and giving them the freedom and best environments in which to flourish.
The Warwick Institute of Engagement is key to realising the University’s strategic goals for 2030 and beyond, and sits within the University’s Strategy Group, reporting to the University’s Registrar and the Vice-President for Engagement. WIE’s mission is both to improve how we involve the public, key influencers and decision makers in our pursuit of knowledge and understanding, and to make us all – staff and students – better at communicating the brilliant research we do. We do this by acting as a central hub for strategic discussion and co-ordination of the University’s engagement activities; building capacity and expertise amongst staff and students to communicate their work in the most compelling way possible; and creating the right opportunities for our staff and students to engage with regional, national and international groups.
