Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton WV11
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 11-year-old boy living in the Wednesfield area of Wolverhampton. Our client has a diagnosis of Autism and as a result our client can find it difficult to control his emotions. Our client’s development is delayed, and he has limited verbal skills, so he communicates via sounds and gestures to express himself.
Main duties:
Social duties
 support client to participate in activities he enjoys
 support to visit local parks and green spaces
Personal care: Support with all aspects of personal care when required.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

 Specific requirements: someone with previous experience of working with children with Autism & Learning Difficulties.
Hours of work: 8 hours per month 1:1 support
Rate of pay: £12.30 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 driving licence
 car and appropriate insurance
 previous experience in this role
 creative
 confidentiality
 good at building relationships
Preferred:
 good communicator
 a good listener
 ability to support people with behaviours which challenge.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
