Tameside Arts Limited has been established since 2005, a user-led, not-for-profit social enterprise - providing Arts-related activities to a wide range of people, including mainstream and people with support needs. Our main focus is on creative-expression, interpersonal development, community cohesion and health and wellbeing.
We have a vast amount of experience in supporting children and adults with support needs, and want to continue this whilst developing mainstream services, groups and events.

Main Purpose of the Job:
To support our clients (children, young people and adults) within sessions and in the community, and review individuals, groups and activities.
Main Tasks:
- Activities
To plan and review activities in conjunction with the TAL team and through consultation with members.
- Developing
- To help publicise and promote Tameside Arts Ltd
- To work with the Members, Tameside Arts Ltd and Volunteers to plan and develop the work of Tameside Arts Ltd
3. Support
· To ensure the safety and welfare of members within sessions and in the community.
· To ensure good communication, encouragement and guidance.
· To provide practical support and personal care as required.
4. Monitoring and Recording
- To ensure that the work is recorded and monitored, and to provide verbal and written reports as required.
- To ensure that the positive outcomes and areas of concern are recorded in the Members guide and reported to your Line Manager as appropriate.
Policy & Practice
- To assist the Tameside Arts Ltd team in contributing to the development of policy and good practice within Tameside Arts Ltd
- To work to combat all forms of discrimination, and to ensure that the principles of equal opportunities are implemented in all work undertaken on behalf of Tameside Arts Ltd
- To complete and review individual and sessional risk assessments
- To carry out the above duties, and any other duties within the responsibilities of the post which may reasonably be required, in a manner which actively supports and promotes Tameside Arts Ltd aims and policies
Requirements:
- proven experience of a similar role
- knowledge of care for individuals with support needs
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- proficiency in needs assessment
