Support Worker - Homeless & Substance Misuse

Our client is a respected organisation in provision of support to Homeless and people with substance Misuse challenges. You will be working in a team as Support Worker to deliver high quality serivices to clients with various needs.

Previous experience in the role is required and be willing to undertake more trainings.

Duties:

Offering support to those suffering from homelessness.

Helping with tasks such as advising clients of their rights, giving information on hostel vacancies and housing.

Supporting clients on employement opportunities and inform them on applying state benefits.

Addresss conflicts that may arise between individual rights and duty of care

Respond to concerns and complaints and report to seniors or managers.

Report and advice on incidents and keeping records.

Supporting clients with alcohol/substance withrawal process

Offering advice and support to avoid rebound to alcohol and drugs.

Monitoring buiding health and safety procedures.
