Paediatric Support Workers - full-time & part-time
Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire
24 to 36 hours per week with additional shifts available
£16.50 to £20.50 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for Paediatric Support Workers to join a team to care for a lovely 7-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy and complex needs.  We are looking to recruit caring, compassionate and experienced Paediatric Support Workers who are committed to providing high quality care and assistance.

The family will be moving to Marlow in 4 month’s time.

As Paediatric Support Workers you need:

• A full, clean driving licence
• Experience of working with children
• At least one years’ experience of working in Care and Support
• To deliver high standards of care to maximise the client’s participation and enjoyment of life
• To follow care plans and risk assessments
• To work sensitively and in tandem with his parents
• A caring, respectful, professional approach with a willingness to uphold the client’s dignity.

Working hours:

The position is to join a team to cover the following hours on a rota basis:

• Day shifts Monday to Sunday 8am-8pm
• Waking nights Monday to Sunday 8pm-8am also occasionally available

Pay rates:

Whilst your level of competency is assessed by the Employer, your rates of pay will be:

• £16.00 per hour Monday to Friday (days and waking nights)
• £18.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday (days and waking nights)
• £18.00 per hour for Public Holidays

Once you are signed off as being deemed competent by the Employer (usually after 2-3 weeks), your rates of pay will increase to:

• £18.50 per hour for a waking night shift Monday to Friday
• £20.50 per hour for a waking night shift Saturday and Sunday
• £16.50 per hour Monday to Friday for a daytime shift
• £18.50 per hour Saturday and Sunday for a daytime shift
• £18.50 per hour for Public Holidays night shifts
