Support Worker: Mental Health

HOURS: 20 hours a week Mon-Fri

Do you have experience working with complex Mental Health needs? Would you like to make a difference developing service users skills, knowledge and understanding around their Mental Health strategic intervention tools to manage complex Mental Health or moments of crisis. Do you thrive in a team working on a shared caseload, providing 1:1 support where necessary?
If yes, BRC have an exciting opportunity for you to gain valuable experience with complex Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage a caseload of customers and provide support with any needs that may arise.
- Provide support within groups or 1:1.
- Collaboratively write risk and needs assessments that reflect service user needs.
- Maintain and build upon pre-existing relationships with external support services, making referrals where appropriate.
- Encourage positive choices to improve health and wellbeing i.e. food
- Provide support, advice, and guidance on tenancy issues, welfare benefits, educational, and employability prospects.
- Assist with daily domestic duties such as cooking, and cleaning.
- Carry out building compliance checks such as health and safety, water, and fire.
