Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a desire to support adults facing diverse challenges, including learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and mental health conditions? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Support Worker.
Responsibilities:
- Providing personalized support and assistance to adults with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and mental health conditions.
- Promoting independence, empowerment, and inclusion within the community.
- Assisting individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Supporting individuals in developing life skills, accessing education, employment, and recreational activities.
- Building positive relationships with service users, their families, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service
- Practical mandatory trainings
- 3 years references
- Previous experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, or mental health conditions is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to work hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in shifts.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
