Support Worker

Thera South West has an exciting opportunity available for a Support Workerto join our team in Sherborne. You will join us on a permanent basis, with full-time, part-time and relief hours available. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £11.50 per hour.

About the Support Worker role:

At Thera South West every day is different. We go to work knowing that this is a chance to make incredible things happen for the people we support.

We are looking for someone to join our team of amazing Support Workers. You will be supporting a young lady who lives in her own home. The right applicant will enjoy arts &crafts with a spot of gardening. Accessing the community for activities, shopping and appointments. You will play an important role within the family, supporting the person to maintain good relationships. Experience with complex behaviours is desirable but full training will be provided.

What do you need to become our Support Worker?

• Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
• No previous experience or qualifications required, Free, Skills for Care endorsed full training will be provided
• Compassionate, caring, confident and resilient
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, with a high level of motivation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional
• Keenness to learn in a fast-paced environment and creatively solve problems
• Desire to embrace our values and vision and have fun!
