Surveyor - Land and Building

FarrimondMacManus Ltd is a company of professional archaeological, heritage and survey consultants based in Northern IreLand and providing services across the island of Ireland.

We are currently recruiting for a Land and Measured Building surveyor to join our survey division. The position will largely focus on 3D measured surveys for heritage, architectural and engineering projects but will also include topographic surveys and boundary surveys.

Requirements

Ideally the candidate should have at least 1 year continuous post graduate/post diploma experience on a wide range of projects with a specific focus on producing high quality accurate surveys delivered to tight deadlines. The candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in the use of a wide range of survey instrumentation, along with the post processing skills required to produce a detailed final 2D / 3D survey. Experience of producing high quality survey output in CAD format is also essential.

While training can be provided it is prefereable that the candidate would ideally be able to hit the ground running & start immediately with a proven track record in surveying

Other requirements include:

• BTEC/HNC/Hons Degree in construction built environment or degree in Geomatics
• A committed attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast paced industry
• Ability to use your own initiative with good problem solving skills.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and also indepentantly when required.
• Have pride for high quality survey work.
• Effective communication skills and good time keeping
• Freedom to travel over the whole of Ireland/UK with some overnight stays
• Driving licence and own transportation
• Experience of using Leica survey equipment and processing software, i.e. Leica Total Stations, Leica RTC360/P40 laser scanners, Leica Cyclone/Register360 Processing software, Leica Cloudworx
• Must be eligible to work in the UK without the requirement for Visa sponsorship

We are offering a position with a 6 month probation period with opportunity for permanant contract thereafter.

Contract length: 6 months probationary period

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
