Surveyor - Property Management Degree Apprenticeship - Birmingham
The Birmingham office provides a full range of service delivery from across Savills many service skill lines. The Property Management team is the largest within the office made up for 40 team members. The team includes estates and facilities surveyors together with accounts provision. We currently have three apprentices within the team and are keen to recruit further.
About this role
We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an apprentice to work in our Property Management team, based in our Birmingham office. The successful candidate will develop skills working closely with the team to assist on a wide range of tasks.
Day to day work would include:
- To provide timely and appropriate tenancy reports to Surveyors / Clients as and when requested
- Assist in undertaking team / departmental compliance and due diligence tasks
- Develop experience in reviewing property related documentation such as leases
- Create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
- Interaction with occupiers and landlords which may include accompanied site visits
- Assist surveyors to regularly review and approve lease related charges and payments
- Prepare workflow instructions for new clients, properties, leases & ongoing amendments to tenancies. This entails extracting information from Leases or other legal documents
- To ensure that the respective accounts systems are up to date, hold the correct tenant information, all relevant invoices / credits have been raised
- Assist surveyors and central credit control teams to chase all debts owed to clients on their managed portfolios and ensure that all money received is allocated properly
- Assist surveyors and analysts to ensure service charge deadlines are met and in line with RICS code of practice
How you’ll make an impact
Good communication and organisational skills are vital to succeed as an Apprentice. You will need the ability to manage a varied workload, work as part of a team while also having the ability to use your own initiative, and be passionate about delivering the best service possible for your team and clients.

GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement and you may not apply if you are currently studying for or already have a degree. You will also need a minimum of 96 UCAS points.
You must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.
Full driving licence preferred but not essential
Training
5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled in year 4 of the undergraduate degree) leading to become a Chartered Surveyor with an RICS qualification.
On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully.
