Job Purpose: To support the continued development of the Sustainability Framework and agenda across the Ascot Group.
Detailed Duties:
- To support the Head of Sustainability in driving the development of the sustainability framework across all areas of the business.
- Monitor emerging risks/opportunities associated with sustainability and provide analysis to senior team leaders, the Risk Committee, and the Board when applicable.
- Ensure alignment with reporting commitments as required for Lloyd’s, UK, US, and Bermuda.
- Support the management and development of all sustainability workstreams, such as those held in underwriting, investments, communications, and operations.
- Manage the development and monitoring of reporting for sustainability risk metrics and key risk/performance indicators as required.
- Produce papers and analysis for committee meetings and external meetings with external bodies (e.g. Lloyd’s, PRA, BMA, and auditors).
- Support the Head of Sustainability in the management of Group-wide sustainability policies.
- Where required, manage the development of training and guidance materials for relevant stakeholders in the business.
- Help to build and embed the appropriate culture and values across Ascot.
- Represent Ascot’s interests in market forums on matters relating to Sustainability.
- Attend relevant industry workshops and training. Collaborate and work with teams across the business to support continuous improvement and ensure reporting deliverables are achieved.
Skills
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a discipline relating to Sustainability / ESG.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and strong team management credentials.
- Ability to identify, propose solutions and implement to meet business challenges.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills required, with attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and pragmatic.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
