Systems Accountant

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an Interim Senior Systems Accountant to join one of our Local Authority clients for a minimum of 6 months. This is a crucial role within the structure and gives the successful applicant the chance to add real value to the existing team during a vital time of year.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Systems Accountant:

• Support the financial systems manager in the day to day running of the systems
• Oversee, manage, review and challenge all appropriate financial and non-financial systems within the organisation
• proactively look for cross office opportunities for efficiency
• Provide training to budget holders and others in the wider organisation who need to use the systems
• Test internal processes and procedures and once confirmed to be documented.

The successful Senior Systems Accountant must have the following skills:

• Evidence of working within the Public/Local Authority Sector - desirable
• Ideally be fully qualified and registered with professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others
• Advanced excel skills
• Ideally experienced in using Civica Financials
• Software skills include: Excel VBA, ability to debug applications, SQL based applications, report writing from scratch including using Crystal Reports, Business Objects and Power BI.

We are offering a competitive day rate of £350-450 per day depending on experience. This role can also be paid outside IR35. Ideally, the candidate will be required for a minimum of 6 months.
