We are a successful financial services organisation, with bold plans for the future. FinTech and Digital have been a key disruptor in our market and we are no different. We meet as needed, so a willingness to travel to Cambridge one to two times a month is necessary. This role is a newly created position with a focus on project work to facilitate a move to Cloud solutions. however it?s likely to suit an on premises skilled professional who has started their journey into Azure, Office365 verticals but still has a foot in both camps.

You will be a tasked to own key areas of the infrastructure and project work, as a point of escalation and to mentor other members of the team. You will be working closely with the leadership team with a voice at the table on the to assist with planning of the company?s future roadmap.

Infrastructure is wide and varied, and we recognise talent comes in many forms. The technologies below are intended to provide some indication of the knowledge we are seeking.

  • Wintel environment.
  • SQL (2012, 2016 & 2019).
  • Endpoint protection software
  • VMware / Hyper V or Similar Virtualisation knowledge.

  • Cloud server exposure (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Cybersecurity understanding.
  • Systems Storage (SANs & NAS) - exposure to transitioning to cloud servers useful.

There are plenty of skills not listed, but as a seasoned pro, we expect you will have seen your fair share of problems to overcome.

We are a close-knit team, so strong communication skills, a willingness to join in with office banter and keeping your cool if something hits the fan are all traits we value.

Hurren and hope are our chosen talent partner. Unsolicited emails will be directed to them, along with Agency approaches. We value their 40 years? knowledge and will not be reviewing our PSL anytime soon.
