We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Systems Development and Support Service working within our Children’s Social Care Systems Development Team.
As a Systems Development and Information Officer you will take on a leading role for the support maintenance and development of a range of children’s social care systems and support services ensuring all appropriate measures are in place guaranteeing compliance with statutory requirements and undertake on-going analysis to support effective service delivery.
The role will also involve project management and the on-going maintenance of the management systems, and the right candidate will consult with managers and users to drive each part of the project ensuring timescales are met and there is a data intelligence and an evidence-based approach.
The post will be based in Cumberland Council. However, the Systems Development Team within the ICT Service is an interim hosted service providing services for both Cumberland Council and Westmorland and Furness Council and will be disaggregated in the future.
Who we’re looking for
The right candidate will be an effective communicator who can respond to any service and customer requirements whilst positively influencing those resistant to change. You will support systems users to harness the technology available to them as well as delivering training and ensuring consistency so the ability to adapt your communication style to the required audience is key. You will also need to have a good understanding of data.
You will have worked in a large complex organisation and understand relevant local authority performance indicators procedures and legislation including GDPR and Information Security. A team player who can work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail you will bring innovative solutions and strong problem-solving skills to the team.
