We are looking for a Systems Engineer for a permanent role in Severn Beach, Bristol. This role is crucial in our journey to become a world-class semiconductor equipment supplier in a cutting-edge manufacturing and development facility. The Systems Engineer will play a direct role in both our strategic and financial business objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the technical product and performance requirements, understanding the necessary capabilities and interfaces between hardware and software to identify areas for improvement (including system design and architecture), and balancing these requirements with cost control and reduction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translation of a marketing specification to technical specification for our New Product Introduction teams
- Create and own the common architecture direction across our products, ensuring consistency and modularity. Drive continuous improvement, evaluate and prioritise proposed developments
- Owner of product datasheets, specifying for our customers key performance data. Oversight of the quality and accuracy of all product documentation (such as quote presentation and marketing material), which will be delivered through marketing and business segment teams.
- Engage with early adopter customers of new development to understand feedback and iterate product performance with the project team
- Be the point of coordination for the business on technical issues relating to the product.
- Carry out other tasks that might reasonably be requested by the company.
Education / Qualifications:
- Degree Qualified in relevant discipline, Postgraduate preferred
Professional Skills/ Abilities:
Essential
- Knowledge of Semiconductor processing techniques, and system design.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Systems and design.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and design.
- Knowledge of Software Systems and design.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and influencing skills.

- Experienced in commercial negotiations.
