Systems & Finance Manager

Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering with a longstanding client to help support the appointment of a Systems & Finance Manager

System Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive Systems Roadmaps for the finance organisation.
• Facilitate the integration of systems, notably Onestream to Sage 200, Twiin, and PT-X.
• Support systems upgrade projects in collaboration with suppliers and internal users.
• Conduct training sessions for both new and existing users on our financial systems.
• Maintain thorough documentation for our systems, explaining processes for user understanding.
• Manage data mapping of charts of accounts between systems to ensure consolidated data production.
• Ensure security profiles and user access are appropriate and consistently maintained.
• Conduct regular maintenance and integrity audits of systems.

Financial Control and Compliance Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit local tax returns and ensure compliance on a timely basis.
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for allocated businesses.
• Lead the finance team in optimising the use of Sage, WAP, PT-X, Onestream, and other business systems.
• Improve and document procedures, especially around new supplier setup, changes, and payment legitimacy.
• Manage and monitor key transactional processes such as AP, AR, and Payroll.
• Ensure efficient monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and supplier statements.

Financial Management, Reporting, and Analysis Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-standard financial and management reports, including monthly management accounts, to senior teams and shareholders.
• Develop BI reporting and consolidation tools.
• Collect, interpret, and review financial information and data (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in reporting functionalities.
• Support the development of forms for budget and cash flow forecasts.
• Manage working capital metrics, focusing on aged debt and WIP.
• Automate detailed variance analysis of actuals vs. budgets and forecasts.
• Actively manage costs through relevant businesses, providing intel-led advisories.
• Serve as the Systems & Finance Business Partner to local management, attending management meetings.
• Support operational projects that drive significant value to allocated businesses.
