Purpose of the job


We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator to join our team. In order to develop and structure a robust BI support and service management model, this role will be pivotal in creating a framework for managing user access. Moreover, the position will encompass the streamlining and automation of license management processes for Tableau users. This includes a focus on self-service capabilities, user adoption, and optimization strategies to foster scalability at the organizational level.

Integral to the role is the provision of technical support during downtimes and close collaboration with the business to design and implement efficient incident management processes.

Additionally, the Tableau Administrator will concentrate on generating valuable insights and reports, informing content decisions, and optimizing overall performance through the adept development of insightful dashboards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Management and Optimisation of Tableau Cloud
  • Security Model, Role Based and Column Based Security implementation
  • Access and License Management
  • Develop and structure BI support and service management model (CMMI, ITIL, DatOps)
  • Tuning and Optimization of BI platforms
  • Develop new tableau capabilities - Mobile/ Pulse
  • Develop complex Admin Insights BI Dashboards to understand usage and user adoption, identifying possible misuse of data
  • BI Content Optimisation and Usability and Self-Service improvement
  • Migration of legacy assets into new environment (refactor existing reports to use new platform)
  • Collaborate with data leaders to define BI strategies, data integrations and roadmaps
  • Ensure data governance and security standards are maintained.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively drive change
  • Support the organization in designing a user training program for using visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

Essential


  • Experience in Tableau features and capabilities
  • Tableau Admin Certification
  • Technical proficiency in SQL
  • Extensive experience with AWS services for BI and data analytics
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong Project Management skills and the ability to drive BI initiatives strategically.
  • Experience with Agile and Kanban methods. Knowledge of Jira
  • dbt experience

Desirable

  • Snowflake experience
  • Snaplogic
