Job Summary:
This role is within bp’s Finance Procurement team, specifically supporting Talent Management – Benefits & Reward, Global Occupational Health and Global HR Operations. The role sits within Talent Management and Digital Workplace.

Digital & Talent supply (D&T) is passionate about redefining supply, digitizing operations and developing an extraordinary team to drive value across bp’s Digital and Talent supply chains.
With accountability for approximately ~$6 billion in third-party indirect spend across the bp group, a position in D&T offers an unparalleled opportunity to influence diverse functions, segments, geographies and suppliers.
The ideal candidate is a versatile procurement partner, equally capable of collaborating with team members, crafting innovative category strategies and influencing supply partners.
The role demands deep insights into both the evolving needs and plans of complementary team member groups and market progressives/technological advancements, to implement innovative ways.
Reporting to a Senior Manager in the Talent team, this is a category management focused role with project specific accountabilities including: operationalizing Talent Management category strategies.
Reinforcing our partnership with the sourcing and contracting teams and implementing detailed auditing of category specific regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Engagement & Partnerships: Champion agile and innovative supply market strategies, while encouraging purposeful partnerships and robust supplier relationships to navigate business challenges and unlock comprehensive value.Groundbreaking Leadership & Change Management: Seamlessly lead and implement Digital or Talent Transformation initiatives, ensuring performance in a dynamic business environment, and adeptly navigating change across diverse partner landscapes.Innovative Ways & Commercial Models: Forge groundbreaking strategies and innovative commercial models, both in procurement methods and in category strategies.Look beyond traditional pricing structures to derive value.Market Insight & Forward-Thinking: Remain attuned to market dynamics, balancing the harmonization of legacy needs with proactive groundbreaking strategies.Holistic Supplier & Partner Management: Prioritize innovation in supplier relationships and unite diverse partners, ensuring both advantageous supply avenues and collaborative solutions to business challenges.Operational Adaptability: Strategically navigate bp’s multidimensional operational frameworks, guaranteeing consistent strategy delivery and uninterrupted supply flow to make procurement and bp easier for suppliers and partners to work with.
Crucial Experience and Job Requirements:
Procurement Expertise: Validated knowledge in Talent-related procurement categories (HR goods and services), including expertise in process / service outsourcing, regulatory implementation (e.g., IR35) and advisory services and/or validated knowledge in Digital-related categories (IT Products & Services) with a keen understanding of the digital market's dynamics and its influence on procurement strategies.
Team member & Communication Expertise: Mastery in global partner management and delivering concise, impactful messages across organizational levels, with experience in collaboration driven roles.
Innovative Approach & Contracting: Skilled in establishing dynamic partnership agreements while maintaining a forward-thinking approach. Recognized for accepting industry challenges, groundbreaking innovative solutions, and encouraging progressive supplier collaborations.
Digital Strategy & Transformation: Validated expertise in transitioning processes to digital solutions, delivering tangible benefits, while adeptly converting partner vision into strategic business initiatives that emphasize cost savings, sustainability, and revenue generation.
Global Project Leadership: Confirmed expertise in guiding projects across international landscapes, recognizing cultural nuances, analyzing data-driven trends & insights, and employing an Agile approach.
Embodiment of Organizational Values: Distinctive demonstration of bp's core values and behaviors. Consistently aligning actions and decisions with bp's overarching aims and ambitions.
Desirable criteria
Proficiency in leading strategic supplier relationships in vast multinational corporate settings.
Consultancy, advisory or project experience, especially in significant/sophisticated change programs for large organizations.
Familiarity with AI deployment in contracts, especially where tasks traditionally done by people are automated.
Travel Requirement
Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role
