The purpose of the role is to be prepare the group and statutory corporation tax provision workings for review by the Group Head of Tax, redesign and implement a robust process for the quarterly corporation tax instalment calculations and prepare the groundwork for the annual corporation tax compliance cycle.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with divisional/group finance teams to obtain all the necessary information for and to then prepare accurate and complete corporation tax provisions for all Group entities under FRS102
Prepare accurate quarterly corporation tax instalment payment calculations
Analyse and prepare the initial capital allowance claims for the year to 31 March 2022
Together with the Group Head of Tax and Tax Advisor help manage the annual external tax audit process; with primary responsibility for collating and uploading information into the auditor's portal and acting as the first point of contact for queries from the external auditors
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
A professional tax or accounting qualification with post qualification experience
Demonstrable experience of tax accounting under FRS102
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, ambitious to contribute and wanting to make a difference
Good at working with key stakeholders and building relationships
