Form of workWe have an outstanding and thrilling opportunity available for a Tax Executive to become a part of our client's esteemed firm.
Role Overview:
This role entails a senior position with extensive involvement in tax-related tasks, including the preparation of tax returns and associated compliance work. The responsibilities of this role may extend beyond those outlined below and may involve direct client interaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Trust and Estate tax returns, as well as personal tax returns, including related tax calculations utilizing the firm’s software (IRIS). This includes managing all related correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs, and third parties as necessary, while closely monitoring and adhering to associated deadlines.
- Compilation of Trust accounts.
- Oversight of deadlines concerning Trusts and Estates, such as ten yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
- Handling day-to-day administrative duties for clients.
- Preparation of Inheritance Tax returns for Trusts and Estates.
- Provision of ad hoc advisory services, such as offering guidance on Trust distributions.
- Assisting in the training and mentorship of junior staff members.
- Completion of other assigned tasks as needed by the LLP.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Possession of a relevant professional qualification, such as STEP, ATT, or CTA (part qualified).
- Demonstrable experience (minimum of 2 years) in working within a private client or trust department in a client-facing capacity.
- Ability to work with precision, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet critical deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication at all levels.
- Proactive and ambitious mindset, with a willingness to advocate for clients' best interests.
- Proficiency in IT, including experience with case management and tax software (preferably IRIS).
