Job Title: Tax & Trust Technical Specialist

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: London or Alderley Edge or Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

Closing date: 7th March 2024

 

We are excited to be recruiting for a Tax & Trust Technical Specialist to join our Protection Proposition team in a newly created role to provide valuable advice to internal colleagues and customers.

 

This role will work closely with Product Owners and Proposition Analysts in our Protection Proposition team who look to create a compelling product, service, and customer experience proposition for Protection Customers.

 

About the role

 

  • Accountable for the day-to-day provision of high-quality technical support to advisers and internal customers focussing on Trusts, Tax, High Net Worth, whilst taking ownership of Technical queries submitted to the Protection Mailbox
  • Support strong business relationships with the external intermediary market, representing Royal London as a subject matter expert.
  • Analyse, understand and communicate impact of legislative and regulatory changes on Protection Proposition
  • Use expertise to support distribution colleagues in achieving new business targets (in particular, in specialist areas like business protection)
  • Take responsibility for providing expertise and guidance to the agile protection development squads and product design

 

About you

 

  • Relevant and recent work experience in a similar role using your technical knowledge in Tax & Trust  
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and the legislative framework.
  • STEP Qualified and able to demonstrate a high level of up to date knowledge
  • Knowledge and understanding of the commercial environment facing product providers.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of Protection propositions.
  • Ability to understand and communicate on a wide range of technical aspects.
  • Demonstratable experience in building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
