Due to the ongoing expansion of our school which will see a further 10% increase in pupil numbers from September 2024, we require a teacher to join us. The Mark Way School is a school for young people aged 11-16 within the moderate learning difficulties (MLD). The school does not stand still and continues its vision for aspirational outcomes for all of its students and staff.
We want our students to achieve as well as they can to enable them to lead successful and fulfilling lives.
Students access a range of accreditation in all subjects including English, Math and Science.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for a tutor group and will be required to support students with their pastoral needs and delivering a ‘Key Skills’ curriculum which includes literacy and numeracy.

Curriculum planning and our Learning Pathways are in place and as a dynamic and ever-changing school community these are reviewed and reflected upon. A position at The Mark Way School will develop your expertise and experience in a range of Special Educational Needs and develop your ‘toolbox’ for meeting the individual needs of students with a wide range of special educational needs. This element of working does require you to problem solve, reflect and deliver modifications in your practice for the good of the students but is met with significant rewards.
