Teacher Of English (Whole School Reading)

Smile Education are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated Teacher of English to join a dynamic and forward-thinking English team.

You will work closely with the academy’s senior leadership team and curriculum lead for English and be a key stakeholder in the development of their unique Reading programme across the secondary phase in their school.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with English leaders across this small trust and have meaningful impact on the development and refinement of Trust-wide provision of Reading. As a through-school they are developing the provision of the Reading curriculum through the Key Stages, and you will work with primary colleagues in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 to build an innovative and ambitious Reading programme.

Our daily reading programme has been developed here at Tudor Grange Samworth Academy, and we are keen to ensure that this programme continues to flourish.

The indoor and outdoor spaces you work in are stimulating, clean and tidy. Relationships between staff and pupils are polite and respectful and your pupils work hard in lessons, making secure progress. This is supported with a strong pastoral programme throughout the school. 
 
The academy is based in South Leicester and is recruiting a permanent Teacher of English (QTS) to join its expanding curriculum offering. You will be teaching English to KS3 and KS4 pupils and inspiring them to exceed their target grades.
