Starting salary from £20,598 to £49,064 per annum

College Central has two sites across East Sussex, Eastbourne and Hastings, and provides specialised education to young people with who have been, or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream school, with average class sizes of 8-10. We strive to discover success through learning, self-belief and achievement. Pupils are empowered to take responsibility through a personalised curriculum supported by secure systems.
College Central, Hastings, is seeking to appoint and experienced and enthusiastic Teacher/Instructor of General subjects. The role will include the planning, delivery, assessment and organisation of teaching for groups of KS3 and KS4 students. Teaching could include English, Maths, Science, ICT. This position is primarily based at our Hastings site, but the successful candidate may be expected to work at our Eastbourne site, as and when required.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ensuring all pupils make progress and succeed. You will be an effective and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about your subjects, highly organised and has the ability to motivate and engage learners. A proven ability to work with challenging students and a resilient attitude are essential.
If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. You will join a highly dedicated and professional staff team and be part of a supportive working and learning environment, where your professional development is highly valued. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential. We will provide you with high quality training and support.
